About

AGC created the Lean Construction Forum in 2009 with two primary goals:

  1. To create an online community where anyone with an interest in lean construction could come together to engage in a dialogue on lean construction by sharing information and best practices, asking questions, and participating in a broad, coordinated effort to promote and define the use of lean concepts and processes within the construction industry.
  2. To develop educational resources and learning opportunities on the use of Lean principals in the construction industry.

The Lean Construction Forum is open to anyone, both AGC members and non-members. All individuals will be required to log-in to the Forum before accessing the Discussion Forum section of the website. AGC members may use their AGC member Username and Password to log-in. Non-AGC members will be required to Register and create a profile.

What is Lean?

Lean Construction is a set of ideas, practiced by individuals in the construction industry, based in the holistic pursuit of continuous improvements aimed at minimizing costs and maximizing value to clients in all dimensions of the built and natural environment: planning, design, construction, activation, operations, maintenance, salvaging, and recycling.
